From workshops, exhibitions, fun festivals, insightful talks and tutorials, there are unique opportunities for everyone to get involved in August Craft Month this year. The countdown is on to August Craft Month, a celebration of vibrant local craft in Ireland across the entire month. The programme includes a whole host of unique events, with this year bringing together more people than ever before. Thanks to a unique initiative involving Design & Crafts Council Ireland, Craft NI and Cork Craft & Design, everyone can get involved in August Craft Month this summer, with unmissable opportunities to experience, participate in, support, buy and learn about the stand-out craft sector across the island. There is a packed programme of over 200 eclectic events in all corners of the island, from workshops, exhibitions, fun festivals, insightful talks and tutorials. People can immerse in creative craft celebrations on their doorstep, as well as hit the road on a craft inspired adventure or staycation. Showcasing the growing creative talent on the island, the initiative will allow people uncover rich craft stories and hear from renowned Irish makers known across the globe, as well as new undiscovered creatives making waves in the local craft world.
