About Team Dublin Clean-Up Day
The Team Dublin Clean-Up Day brings together residents, schools, businesses and community groups from across the city for a coordinated effort to improve local neighbourhoods. Organised by Dublin City Council, the initiative supports participants by providing all necessary clean-up equipment in advance, with waste collected and managed on the day by the Council’s Waste Management Services.
The event forms part of An Taisce’s National Spring Clean, Ireland’s largest anti-litter campaign, which encourages communities nationwide to take an active role in protecting and maintaining their environment. By aligning with this wider initiative, the Dublin clean-up contributes to a broader focus on environmental responsibility and community action.
Organisers have encouraged participation from across the city, highlighting the collective impact of small local efforts. All participating groups are automatically entered into the Dublin City Neighbourhoods Competition, with a prize fund available for community initiatives, adding an extra incentive to get involved.
