Family Arts & Crafts Workshops at Beyond the Trees Avondale
Discover your creative side this summer with Family Arts & Crafts Workshops at Beyond the Trees Avondale. Led by educator and artist Lesa Allenden from Leebow, these engaging workshops invite children aged 3 years and over and their parents to create together in the heart of Avondale Forest Park.
Each 90-minute session takes place in the Coillte Pavilion overlooking the Walled Garden, providing a relaxed setting where families can enjoy hands-on creative activities inspired by the surrounding woodland. Parents are encouraged to take part, making each workshop a shared family experience.
Throughout the summer, families will explore a variety of nature-inspired themes including Forest Textures & Nature Printing, using leaves, bark and woodland textures to create unique prints, Woodland Creatures & Story Art Collage, Eco Art & Nature Making with Clay, and Creatures of Avondale, where participants will create woodland animals and birds using air dough clay. The popular Create Together in Nature sessions encourage families to collaborate on a shared artwork inspired by the forest.

Three workshops run each day:
• 10:00 – 11:30
• 12:00 – 13:30
• 14:00 – 15:30
Tickets are €15 per child and €10 per adult. Advance booking is recommended as places are limited. Designed for children over 3 and their parents.
