The Heart of the Glens Festival is one of the largest community festivals in Northern Ireland and hosts a range of cultural events.
The 2025 festival runs from 2– 10 August and provides a fun packed programme of over 80 events throughout the 9 day period.
The Lurig Challenge Run (August 9th) is the highlight of the Heart of the Glens Festival. Participants are guaranteed an exciting off-road race, breathtaking views and a famously warm Glens welcome. Be prepared for one of the country’s most unique and memorable races, as you run to the top of Lurig (1073 feet), with spectacular views, before a fast descent down the mountain.
The Heart of the Glens Festival is 9 days full of entertainment and fun. Come along and join us – you will not be disappointed!
