Friday looks like a good time to stay indoors but the rest of the weekend weather has plenty of dry spells.

The forecast from Met Eireann says that 'rain will turn heavy and possibly thundery, with a risk of some spot flooding' during Friday.

However, Saturday is set to be mainly dry with some scattered light showers in the west and north of the country.

Sunday 'will be mostly cloudy with scattered light rain or drizzle, mainly in the north and east, with Munster and south Leinster likely to stay largely dry and bright'.
