Visitors to one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations have been warned to stay on official paths.

A post on their Facebook page warns that the cliffs have become “dangerously unstable” and are at risk of falling into the sea.

Following several recent landslides visitors have been warned not to stay from the official path and avoid the dirt trail close to the edge of the cliff.

A post said the official path is the  "inner path - the bare earth track is not a path - it has been created by walkers outside the path”.

One section of the popular cliff walk is now reported to be in a dangerous condition an at risk off falling into the sea

There have been several other events in recent years where parts of the cliff face have collapsed into the sea below, including this on in 2009 captured on video by Canadian tourists.
