We run Guided River Trips on the River Liffey, Dublin.

Our trips take 2.5 hours on the water. We have top class guides and equipment. We start above Lucan weir and finished in Mill Lane Palmerstown just below the last weir on the trip.

The Strawberry beds is a beautiful place to see from the river. It is full of interesting wildlife and spectacular trees.

Your trip with Rafting.ie starts just 20 minutes from Dublin’s city centre, and a whole world away.

Taking around 2.5 hours, you’ll follow the river through the beautiful Strawberry Beds, flowing downriver, navigating four weirs, and checking out the stunning wildlife, and discovering some intriguing history on the way.

The River Liffey is a treasure trove. Upstream from Dublin’s city centre, in its wilder environment, it is unique and wonderful, life giving and life enhancing. To discover it is to be gladdened by it. In fact, words don’t do it justice, you simply have to see and experience it with your own eyes and ears.

Set up in 2009 by a group of rafting experts and enthusiasts, Rafting.ie gives you an unique, fun and safe way to discover both the river, and the joys of rafting. We’ve been on Irish National teams, we’ve travelled and taken in some of the great rivers of the world, and now we’re delighted to bring our passion to the Liffey.

Price: €299

Our trips are priced per raft not per person. Each raft has a max number of 7 people and a minimum number of 3. The trip takes around 2.5 hours on the water. However, it can be shorter when the river is high.

Young children must be accompanied by adults.
