The Cork Summer Show returns to Curraheen for one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running family events. Bringing together agriculture, food, entertainment, shopping and family fun, the show attracts thousands of visitors each year and offers a full day out for all ages.

Across the showgrounds, families can enjoy a wide variety of attractions including live entertainment on the main stage, children’s activities, fairground rides, interactive exhibits and educational displays. The event combines traditional agricultural competitions with modern family attractions, creating an experience that appeals to both children and adults.

A popular highlight for younger visitors is Agri Aware’s Farmyard, where children can meet farm animals and learn more about where food comes from through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. New for 2026 is the Pet Corner, offering families the chance to meet rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry and other small animals throughout the weekend.

The equestrian programme features a packed schedule of horse and pony competitions, while visitors can also watch military displays, agricultural showcases and demonstrations taking place throughout the showgrounds. There are opportunities to see everything from native breeds and miniature horses to championship classes and family-friendly competitions.

Food lovers can visit the Agri Aware Food for Thought Marquee where local producers, chefs and exhibitors showcase Irish food and farming. The Art, Craft and Baking Marquee celebrates creativity and traditional skills with competitions, demonstrations and displays, while the Floral Art and Horticultural Marquee showcases impressive flower arrangements, gardening exhibits and expert demonstrations.

With more than 300 trade stands, shopping opportunities, local crafts, artisan food producers, family attractions and live entertainment throughout the weekend, Cork Summer Show offers a memorable family day out and remains one of the highlights of the summer events calendar in Cork.
