Seafood and Shanty Ballycotton Family Fun Day
On Sunday 2nd June 2019 Ballycotton pier will be a SEA of BRILL-iant OLD FASHIONED FAMILY FUN for the annual Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton. Expect old fashioned ENTERTAINMENT stalls, shopping, arts and craft stalls, live music from shanty buskers and local musicians DUFFYS CUT - Dancing on Ballycotton pier is encouraged!
There will be cookery demonstrations and plenty of food stalls offering a smorgasbord of delicious food including fish and chips from Pier26, Sushi, Lobster from The Lobster Man, Crepes from Lolo Kitchen, Volcano Woodfired Pizza and many more local culinary treats including delicious home-made cakes from Breda Paul.
Arun Kapil (Green Saffron) will be adding a little spice to our fish demonstration area and Rachel Allen bringing glamour and culinary wisdom to Ballycotton pier too.
Affordable boat trips will be available from the harbour around the Ballycotton Lighthouse Island and the Ballycotton Lifeboat crew and Ballycotton Cliff Rescue crew will be on hand sharing coastal safety advice.
A highlight of this #BankHoliday weekend event is our final event of the day on the pier.. the CRAB DERBY - an annual spectacle/experience not to be missed! Taking PLAICE at 4.30pm on Ballycotton pier.

Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton / Family Fun Day was first launched in 2013 by the Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton committee and Darina Allen demonstrated fish dishes in association with the Ballycotton Fisherman's Association. Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton is a collaborative tourism initiative started by the business community of Ballycotton and supported by the entire community.
