About Slieve Aughty Centre

Slieve Aughty Centre is an eco-friendly equestrian and activity leisure centre set on 17 acres of rugged Galway land. Guests have miles of trails for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring nature as well as a stunning location for rejuvenation, relaxation and celebration!

For families, the Enchanted Forest is a delightful world of fairies and their forest friends and ages 5 and up can get their aboard a Slieve Aughty pony. At the farm, make something in the arts and crafts room, visit the pot bellied pig, alpaca, sheep, donkeys and ponies, and play on the small playground. Delicious organic food is available daily in summer and weekends in winter at the Three Towers Eco House and Organic Kitchen. Stay overnight in luxury accomodation, lodges, glamping, or even pitch your tent.

Equestrian Centre

Slieve Aughty Centre is a unique family oriented equestrian and event centre in the quiet countryside of western Ireland.

Slieve Aughty Riding Centre has been teaching both young and old to ride horses and ponies for more than 20 years. We have over 30 horses and ponies to suit all riding levels.

Riding Lessons are taught by qualified instructors and combine arena exercises, theory and trekking.

Accomodation

Cosy Eco Lodges, Glamping Cabins or the Three Towers Eco Guest House all provide glorious comfort in a natural setting. In the summer, pitch a tent in the field.

Located between 2,000 acres of forestry and the Slieve Aughty mountains, you are guaranteed an experience with a difference.

Restaurant

The only organic certified restaurant in the west of Ireland, we aim to offer healthy dishes using only the finest natural organic ingredients from local producers and our own kitchen garden. We pride ourselves on our imaginative cuisine.

Enchanted Forest

Deep in the woods there is a hidden grove of native trees by a flowing stream where the fairies, gnomes and trolls live together with the animals of the wood. Bring your family along to discover this magical place…. The Enchanted Forest!

The Enchanted Forest is a short 10 minute walk from The Slieve Aughty Centre. For children ages 4 and up, book a pony ride to the gates for only €10 per child.

Eco Weddings Ireland

Celebrate with friends and family surrounded by the beauty of nature, relaxed atmosphere and artistic touches. We specialise in intimate eco-weddings, providing an alternative setting where only your imagination is the limit.

Have your civil ceremony indoors or out, followed by a relaxed outdoor drinks reception and enjoy a 3-course organic meal in the comfort of The Three Towers Eco House and Organic Kitchen.

School Tours

Slieve Aughty Centre offers fun, safe and educational programmes for schools. We can accommodate groups of up to 50* students at a time.

To ensure that each child gets more individual attention and hands-on opportunities for learning, your Tour may combine two programmes at no extra cost. Lunch is available and supervising adults are free.
