Halloween magic comes alive this October at the Spook Aughty Festival in Slieve Aughty Centre. Families are invited to enjoy a weekend packed with spooky fun, seasonal treats and imaginative adventures for all ages.
Step inside the stables for eerie story readings and peek through the curtains into newly themed Scary Rooms filled with spooky surprises. Children can transform into their favourite Halloween characters at the face-painting booth, then gather by the fireside to share tales and warm up after exploring the grounds.
Take a self-guided nature walk to the Enchanted Forest, where hidden frights and forest magic await. Join the pony games ride for a playful challenge, balancing eyeballs on spoons and competing in quirky tests of skill.
After all the excitement, refuel in the cosy café with lunch specials, sweet treats and mugs of rich hot chocolate. With workshops, face painting and pony rides running throughout the day, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Spook Aughty runs from Saturday 25 to Sunday 26 and Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 October, 12 pm to 4 pm. Entry includes a pony ride, with special discounts for groups of ten or more children. Supervision is required at all times, and visitors are encouraged to carpool and park responsibly.
