The Mary From Dungloe International Arts Festival returns from 25th July to 3rd August 2026 for its 59th year, bringing ten days of music, culture, family entertainment and community celebrations to the heart of County Donegal. Since 1967, the festival has welcomed representatives of Irish communities from around the world, with the crowning of the Mary remaining one of Ireland’s most cherished festival traditions.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the festival, including children’s arts and crafts, teddy bear workshops, LEGO animation classes, music and dance workshops, circus and parade workshops, sports days, football coaching, treasure hunts, vintage car and tractor displays, farmers’ markets, craft shows and the popular festival parade through the streets of Dungloe.
Live entertainment runs throughout the festival, with concerts, traditional music sessions, outdoor performances, comedy, fashion events, local talent showcases, radio broadcasts and cultural celebrations taking place across the town. Visitors can also enjoy walking tours, food and drink events, baking demonstrations and a wide range of community activities that reflect the unique spirit of Donegal.
Combining Irish culture, music, family fun and a warm community atmosphere, the Mary From Dungloe International Arts Festival remains one of Ireland’s best-loved summer festivals and a highlight of the Wild Atlantic Way calendar.
