Oakfield Bark Dog Show
Donegal | Sunday, 7th June, 2026
Dog lovers are invited to Oakfield Park this June for the return of the Oakfield Bark Dog Show, a family-friendly day celebrating dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds. Taking place from 11am to 6pm, the event combines fun competitions, demonstrations, workshops and exhibitors, with proceeds supporting the Irish Guide Dogs Donegal Branch.
Owners can enter their dogs into a wide range of classes including Best Puppy, Waggiest Tail, Best Trick, Best Rescue Dog, Owner Lookalike and Best Senior Dog, alongside breed and handler categories. Prizes will be awarded across all classes, with competitors also vying for the Oakfield Bark Cup, Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show titles. Judging will be led by IKC Judge Marty Potts.
There is plenty for families to enjoy throughout the day, including appearances from Paw Patrol characters, free face painting for children and the chance to ride Oakfield Park’s popular train, with dogs welcome on board. A variety of dog-related exhibitors, demonstrations and activities will also take place across the park.
Visitors can explore Oakfield Park’s award-winning gardens, woodland walks and scenic surroundings, while Buffers Restaurant will be serving hot and cold food, refreshments and treats throughout the day. It promises to be a fun day out for families, dog owners and animal lovers alike.
