Letterkenny Trad Week

Trad Week
24 January - 7 February 2026.
Trad Week returns to Letterkenny this January with a rich programme of Irish traditional music, folk, spoken word and cross-genre collaborations, presented by the Regional Cultural Centre and An Grianán Theatre. Now firmly established as a highlight of the winter cultural calendar in Donegal, the festival brings together local, national and international artists across concerts, talks, workshops and special events.
This year’s programme features a wide range of performances and collaborations, including appearances by Eithne Ní Ghallchobhair, Steve Cooney and Dermot Byrne, The Fureys on their farewell tour, The Henry Girls, Seamus Gibson, So-Young Yoon, Joshua Burnside and Wayfaring Strangers, alongside talks and events celebrating the music and traditions of the Donegal travelling community. Literary launches, pop-up Gaeltacht events and daytime workshops add further depth to the festival.
Events take place across multiple venues in Letterkenny, including An Grianán Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre and partner locations, with performances scheduled throughout the day and evening across the two-week programme. Trad Week offers a varied and welcoming mix of music, culture and conversation, making it a strong reason to spend time in Donegal during the quieter winter weeks.
