St. Brigid’s Cross Making
Ireland celebrates St Brigid’s Day on 1st February, marking the feast day of one of our most beloved saints. Traditionally, on the eve of or on her feast day, people weave St Brigid’s Crosses—usually four-armed crosses made from dried rushes, reeds, or straw.
These crosses are hung at the threshold of the home as a sign of welcome to Brigid and to offer protection to the household throughout the year.
Join us to learn about this beautiful tradition and make your own St Brigid’s Cross at our hands-on workshops, running from 11am to 4pm.
