Christ Church Cathedral is one of Dublin's oldest buildings, a leading visitor attraction and a place of pilgrimage for almost 1,000 years.Famous for its breathtaking beauty, magnificent architectural features and wonderful floor tiles, Christ Church is also popular as a venue and is host to many high profile concerts throughout the year.
The famous 12th Century Crypt houses the Cathedral cafe and is available for events such as wedding receptions, dinners and Christmas parties etc.

Christ Church Cathedral was once a major pilgrimage site and would have housed an important collection of relics ranging from a miraculous speaking cross to a piece from the crib of Jesus.
Visit ‘the Cat & the Rat’
A mummified cat & rat are the most unusual inhabitants of the crypt, but also the most popular. Mentioned by James Joyce in Finnegans Wake, they are known locally as ‘Tom & Jerry’.
