Harold’s Cross Community Festival

The Harold’s Cross Community Festival returns on 17 and 18 May with a packed weekend of creativity, culture and family fun. Taking place in Harold’s Cross Park and surrounding venues, this year’s festival celebrates the theme Roots and Future, connecting heritage and community spirit with new ideas and inspiration. Across both days, visitors can enjoy live music, workshops, exhibitions and performances from local groups and artists. Highlights include a dog show, vintage carousel, magic shows, a brass band and a full lineup of entertainment on the Big Stage. Children can take part in art competitions, face painting and sensory play while the ever-popular Teacup Merry Go Round and inflatable basketball game bring fun to the playground. There’s something for everyone with sport demonstrations, nature walks and history tours running throughout the park. Curated events include chess tournaments, hurling and soccer exhibitions and even a chance to take on a champion in a simultaneous chess match.
