Skerries Mills Harvest Time Festival

Skerries Mills will mark the harvest season with a special open day in the historic crop fields. Visitors can enjoy live music, traditional demonstrations, harvest knot-making and a variety of children’s crafts, with face painting available for a small fee. The event offers a chance to see the crops being gathered on-site, celebrating community, tradition and the connection with the land.
Set in the picturesque seaside town of Skerries, Skerries Mills is home to three working mills — two sailmills and a watermill — that stand as iconic symbols of natural energy. While full guided tours are limited on the day, the crop field is only a short walk from Skerries train station and town centre, making it easy to arrive by public transport. Please note there is no event parking, and harvest timings may be affected by weather conditions, so plan to come early to watch this annual tradition in action.
