Féile na Tána 2026 Carlingford, Forkhill and Mullaghbawn | 25 January – 2 February 2026 Féile na Tána returns to the Cooley Peninsula this winter for its twelfth year, celebrating Irish traditional music, song and dance in the heart of Oriel. Running from late January into early February, the festival brings together local communities, visiting artists and audiences for a rich programme of concerts, sessions, talks and workshops across Carlingford, Forkhill, Mullaghbawn and surrounding areas. This year’s festival features an ambitious mix of performances and collaborations, including headline concerts, intimate sessions and a major commission concert presenting the world premiere of new music by Bill Whelan for four Irish harps. Across the week, audiences can enjoy appearances by leading musicians, singers, dancers and storytellers, alongside poets and historians reflecting on the cultural traditions of the region. Many events are free to attend, with others ticketed at accessible prices, reinforcing the festival’s welcoming and community-led feel. Education and participation are central to Féile na Tána, with schools performances, hands-on harp events and a full day of workshops for musicians and dancers of all ages and abilities.
