Belmullet Festival returns from 9th to 16th August 2026, bringing a week of community spirit, culture and entertainment to one of the most scenic locations along the Wild Atlantic Way. Set in the heart of Erris, the festival has become a much-loved summer tradition that attracts locals, returning visitors and tourists from across Ireland and beyond.
The festival celebrates the unique character of Belmullet and the wider Erris region, showcasing local traditions, heritage and community pride. Throughout the week, visitors can expect a lively atmosphere, family-friendly activities and opportunities to experience the culture and hospitality for which the area is renowned.
Among the highlights already confirmed for 2026 is Heritage Day on Tuesday 11th August, a celebration of local history, crafts, traditions and culture. Another key event is Lá an Logha (Fair Day) on Saturday 15th August, one of the festival’s most anticipated occasions, bringing together the community for a vibrant celebration of rural life and local heritage.
While the full programme is yet to be announced, Belmullet Festival continues to offer a memorable mix of entertainment, culture and community events. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Mayo coastline, it provides a fantastic opportunity to experience the warmth, traditions and spirit of the Wild Atlantic Way.
