The Castlerea Rose Festival returns for another exciting week of family entertainment, live music and community celebrations, bringing visitors together for one of the highlights of the summer in County Roscommon. With activities taking place throughout the town, the festival offers a lively mix of entertainment for all ages.
Families can enjoy children’s activities, creative workshops, outdoor events, fitness sessions, parades and community gatherings throughout the festival. From arts and crafts and treasure hunts to family movie nights and sports activities, there’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained while adults enjoy the welcoming festival atmosphere.
The 2026 music programme features an impressive line-up of live performances, including Jimmy Buckley, Qween, Chasing Abbey and a Piano Man & George Michael tribute show, alongside additional concerts and entertainment across the festival week.
Combining music, family fun and community spirit, the Castlerea Rose Festival continues to be one of Roscommon’s best-loved summer events, offering a memorable day out for visitors of all ages.
