Join in the celebration of live performance as the best of independent music is brought together in a lively atmosphere at the Busker Fleadh, taking place in Smithfield Square on Sunday 15th September. Brought to you by Dublin City Council, this FREE family-friendly event will showcase some of the most thrilling musical talent and street performance Ireland has to offer.
Everyone is invited to share in the experience as Smithfield Square is filled with the music of Ireland’s supreme Buskers, coming together to provide a diverse and multi-cultural programme of street performance and music. Open to all, there are delights for everyone as a variety of street performers, such as rock bands, singers, choirs and rap artists and much more take over this central venue!
Visitors can discover their new favourite performers and watch as one act is chosen as the winner of The Dublin Busker Fleadh! A paid slot at Whelan’s will be given to the best group AND best solo artist. The Best overall between these two winners will also and a free recording session (valued at €1,000) in Windmill Lane Recording Studios, with a professional sound engineer and digital copy of their recordings.
Inspiring musicians and buskers are welcomed to apply online to take part in the Busker Fleadh, at www.buskerfleadh.ie.
Whether you’re a fan of rock, folk or hip hop, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy at the Busker Fleadh – 11:30am to 5pm, Sunday 15th September, in Smithfield Square, Dublin 7!
