10 fun family things to do during the Easter holidays

Oh, how times have changed. I really looked forward to the school holidays when I was younger. It was an opportunity for everyone to play out on the road; sometimes building forts with the recently cut grass or making a rope swing from one of the trees.

I don't ever remember being bored although I'm sure my Mum would say otherwise. Nowadays, though, it's up to the parents to entertain their children.

This Easter, the schools are closed for two weeks and although there is always plenty of things to do around the country it can be hard to find out exactly what's on and where.

That's where we can help. We get lots of information delivered to us at yourdaysout.com and have put together a collection of some things to try over the holidays. This is not the definitive list.

There are just loads and loads of things to do, regardless of the weather and no matter the age. Just use the Search Near Me tool at the top of the page to find some suggestions of things to do in your area.

You'll be surprised at the fantastic amount of choice you have right on your own doorstep.
