The Farmyard

The Farmyard is a working farm that is open to the public for fun farm activities and educational workshops.

Learn how to make Home Made Bread, Churn Butter and even bake your own pizza, in our clay stove.

Why not sit back and relax in our stress-free tea rooms, where the Coffee and Tea is good, but our home made scones are even better.

We run a number of farm tours and events from Hen Parties, School Tours for ages 7 up to 18 and Summer Camps. Our team building events offer a great fun day out for all organisations, employers or educators to kick back and forget the stress of every day.

We offer a number of summer camps for children of all ages that brings children so close to nature, they often want to take our animals home with them. All our rooms are all available for hire for any occasion.

The Farmyard offers a unique setting for your Wedding Day.

Our Christmas experience is a must for all the family to ring in the festive season of joy and fun.

Tours / Groups

The Farmyard provides international tourists with a unique insight into Irish country life past and present. Ideally located at the foot of Mullaghmore mountain and only twenty minutes from either the Cliffs of Moher, Ennis or Gort, this “hidden treasure” provides a quality authentic Irish experience in the heart of the Burren.

All of our packages can be tailored according to the needs of individual tours and our sample activities include:

• Partake in a traditional Irish dance such as the “the siege of Ennis”
• Take turns at milking the cow by hand
• Enjoy a guided walk around the farm with highlights such as spectacular views of Mullaghmor mountain and   Mullagh stone fort
• Learn how to churn some butter using a traditional Irish Butter Churn
• Watch a sheep shearing demonstration
• Develop the age old custom of baking a loaf of Irish Brown Bread
• The Farmyard facilities include a farm shop selling award winning irish products, and tea rooms which serve freshly made refreshments or light lunches using produce from its organic Polytunnel and vegetable/fruit gardens.

All activities must be pre-booked.

School Tours

The Farmyard is an ideal venue for school tours to enjoy a memorable, stress-free day trip. The School tour programme can be tailored to your particular needs and suits all age groups from the senior classes to the infants!

We provide a completely safe environment, facilitated by experienced staff where children and teachers can thoroughly enjoy themselves.

We also have lunch facilities and a farm shop for those school tour souvenirs.

The Farmyard also offers tours which align the times of the junior & senior classes which can be discussed.
