The Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark is an initiative of local communities who wanted to create jobs and develop the sustainability of the area by enhancing and promoting its natural, cultural historical and undeniably beautiful assets.
The Copper Coast was awarded European Geopark status in 2001 and in 2004 legally formed a Company Limited by Guarantee holding Charitable Status and also achieved UNESCO Global Geopark status, placing it firmly on the international stage.
We provide all kinds of educational experiences for students at all levels - visiting schools, guiding walks, delving into local history.
We host local events such as seasonal fairs, craft demonstrations, film shows and much more.
Copper Coast Festival
