Belvedere House boasts a magnificent 160-acre lakeside estate & 18th Century Georgian Villa & Victorian Walled Garden.

At Belvedere, you can enjoy stunning views incorporating some of Ireland’s most famous Romantic follies - including the largest in Ireland - the now infamous ‘Jealous Wall’.

Belvedere House, Gardens & Park offers something for young and old. Visitors can enjoy 8km of walks, a Georgian Villa, a Victorian Walled Garden, Fairy Garden, three playgrounds, a gift shop, picnic areas and licensed café. A visit to Belvedere is a superb day with a difference.

House
Belvedere House was built in 1740 by German -born Architect Richard Castle (1690-1751), as a hunting and fishing lodge for Lord Belfield - Robert Rochfort - who later became the First Earl of Belvedere.

The Follies
The Jealous Wall is the largest and one of the most spectacular follies in Ireland. The word 'Folly' is commonly used to describe an ornamental building serving no useful purpose.

The Walled Garden
Wander around our beautiful walled garden and enter our Thomas Messenger style Victorian glasshouse filled with an array of exotic plants or delight in the many splendid woodland & lakeshore walks.

The Woodland Walks
The Parklands and woodland trails through the ancient whispering woods of Belvedere are a place of enchantment at any time of the year.

The Fairy Garden
At Belvedere there is also a magical Fairy Garden at the bottom of the Walled Garden in an enchanted glen.

Car Parking
Belvedere House Gardens & Park has ample FREE car parking facilities for visitors.

Coach Parking
Coach drop off points and parking are available for all pre-booked groups.

Bicycle Parking
There are bicycle parking facilities outside the entrance to the Visitor Centre. Note: Cycling is prohibited within the estate itself.

Restaurant
Great food, great service & great location - this is the mantra of CaToCa Fine Foods & Giftware, the licensed Restaurant at Belvedere House Gardens & Park. CaToCa can cater for all special occasions and Corporate events.

Gift Shop
Belvedere Gift Shop is currently operated by CaToCa Fine Foods and Giftware and offers an exclusive range of clothing, gifts and memorabilia.

Children’s Play Areas
Belvedere has 4 Children’s Play Areas that includes a 30metre Zipline and Lakeside Swings in the beautiful, serene and safe surroundings of 160 acres of undulating parkland.

Really great for a family day out, bring a picnic and comfortable shoes, lots of trails to walk around (short & long) lake side playgrounds and lots of old buildings to explore, the ice house is our favourite, and the cannons, walled garden is fab, recommend a full day here, they serve food and tea/coffee also
