Bog Week 2019 - A festival to bring you back in time….

If you want to get outside in the Irish landscape and enjoy nature in its finest then the Quaker Village of Letterfrack in North Connemara is the place for you, as it’s the annual Connemara Bog Week Festival which kicks off on Sunday 26th May and finishes on Bank Holiday Monday June 3rd

The festival provides a space for the creative force which is at the heart of Connemara. This award-winning, multi-disciplinary, family friendly festival allows visitors to explore a sense of place while experiencing the breath-taking landscape, archaeological and historical heritage of the area.

Throughout the week people are encouraged to experience Connemara’s famous Bog lands with a guided walk each day in the Connemara National Park.

There is a Family Fay in Connemara West Centre on May 26th, a schools programme to experience the Connemara peatlands and an artists exhibition on Saturday 1st June,  that features the work of students in Lettergesh NS.

There will also be lots of music throughout the festival week and the Connemara 3-Day cycle race.
