To celebrate the Russian influence on The Haw Lantern, soprano Maacha
Deubner and pianist Alissa Firsova perform works by Rachmaninov and
Tchaikovsky, together with settings of Mandelstam’s poems, including pieces
by Firsova’s mother, Elena, and the world premiere of a piece written by her
father, Dmitri Smirnov.
