The picturesque town of Killeshandra sets the stage for another brilliant Festival of the Lakes, running from Friday 30th May to Monday 2nd June. This four-day celebration offers a fun and varied line-up to suit all ages.
Festivities kick off on Friday evening with a LEGO building competition for kids, followed by a traditional music session on Main Street. Saturday brings vintage tractors, kids races and family favourites during Tractor Day, while Sunday is packed with energy – from the 5km Run 4 Ríoghnán to a lakeside Family Fun Day featuring water sports, food stalls, kids’ entertainment and a lively performance by the Absurdist Pipe Band.
Monday rounds things off with a live firefighting demo from the local brigade. With a great mix of heritage, play and lakeside charm, the weekend promises a perfect start to summer in Cavan.
