Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is set to host an unforgettable Easter celebration from April 18th to 20th, offering three days of festive fun for all ages. From exciting live performances to hands-on activities and historical encounters, families can immerse themselves in the magic of Easter while exploring one of Ireland’s most beloved heritage sites.

Little ones can show off their creativity in the Easter Bonnet Competition, where budding designers (aged 12 and under) are invited to craft their most colourful and imaginative bonnets. Using recycled or upcycled materials, children can let their creativity shine, with fantastic prizes up for grabs. Keep an eye out for the stylish Lady Long Bottom and Madame Bloomers, who will be scouting for the most eye-catching designs ahead of the judging ceremony on Village Street.

No Easter is complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny! This fluffy friend, along with his adorable sidekick, the Chick, will be hopping around the park throughout the weekend, greeting children and spreading festive cheer. Guests can also expect surprise treats and plenty of opportunities to snap a special Easter photo.

For those seeking thrilling entertainment, the Wobbly Circus and performer Garry Rossiter promise jaw-dropping performances featuring fire juggling, stilt walking and daring feats. Families can gather outside the tea room to catch the Wobbly Circus in action or marvel at Garry’s high-energy show, blending comedy, audience participation and mind-blowing stunts.

Visitors can step back in time with fascinating living history displays, where Gaelic chieftains and warriors from “Clan Life & Tercio Irlanda” bring Ireland’s past to life. Experience the drama of historical battles, learn about Gaelic traditions and hear captivating tales of power struggles, exiles and alliances between Ireland and Spain.

A visit to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park wouldn’t be complete without a ride on the Bunratty Express. This charming train journey takes visitors through the enchanting woodlands, past the fairy village and the folk park paddocks, home to Irish Red Deer and other friendly animals. Along the way, passengers can admire the beautifully restored Georgian Bunratty House and many other historic landmarks.
