Circus Extreme: Rock It Out

Circus Extreme returns to Cork with Rock It Out, a new two-hour production combining live rock music, contemporary circus and extreme stunts at Curraheen Showgrounds.
The show features the Danguir Troupe on the Double Wheel of Death, the EXTREME Freestyle Motocross Team performing jumps and mid-air tricks above the Big Top and the Globe of Death, where stunt riders race inside a steel sphere. There is also aerial trapeze from Skywalker Marlon and circus comedy from Clown Edy.
The Didyk Troupe will take to the Double Ukrainian Swing for a display of high-flying acrobatics, while Laura Miller combines water, fire and aerial performance in her Aquatic Aerial Hoop act. Lucky Hell brings sword swallowing into the air with an aerial straps performance, while South American stunt rider Paulinho demonstrates street bike skills including wheelies, stoppies and burnouts.
For the first time, Circus Extreme will also feature a full live rock band with singers and dancers, providing the soundtrack throughout the show. The production takes place inside the touring Big Top, which features climate control and theatre-style seating.
Performances begin at Curraheen Showgrounds on Friday 28th August and continue on selected dates until Sunday 13th September, with afternoon and evening shows available throughout the run.
