Celebrate Engineers Week 2019 with Old Cork Waterworks Experience with our family fun Engineering themed open day on Sunday March 3rd from 11am to 4pm.
Admission is free, children and adults may enjoy a series of stands and activities to discover the many roles of engineering Activities will include driving VEX robots, LEGO construction challenges, connecting snap circuits, following engineering trails, make & do, hook a duck and lots lots more with all activities staffed by volunteer engineers and local STEM education and research centres, no need to book, just drop in and join the fun and celebrate Engineers Week 2019.
The theme of Engineers Week 2019 is Engineering our Future and what better way to encourage an understanding of the many engineering disciplines than a free open day with engineers running family friendly activities. Activities from environmental to electrical and structural to civil engineering will provide plenty of hands on fun.

"Meet the Engineers” Open Day is offered for Engineers Week 2019 and is one of a range of engineering activities on offer including LEGO Workshops, MathsWorks Mobile school visits and enquiry based learning science workshops.
The week is coordinated on a national basis by Engineers Ireland with events and activities available to the public as part of the STEPS programme, a strategic partner of Science Foundation Ireland’s (SFI) Discover Programme.
