Dublin Bowie Festival

The Dublin Bowie Festival returns in 2026 with a special edition celebrating two landmark moments in David Bowie’s career: 50 years of Station to Station and 10 years of Blackstar. Running from 24 February to 1 March, the festival brings together live music, legacy performances and visual art, offering a focused tribute to one of the most influential artists of the modern era. Live performances form the centrepiece of the programme. The week opens with Rebel Rebel, a long-established Bowie tribute band known for faithful recreations of Bowie’s most recognisable eras and songs. The festival’s headline nights, titled Bowie’s Golden Years, see four of Bowie’s closest collaborators take to the stage together. Gerry Leonard, Mike Garson, Earl Slick and Mark Plati perform an intimate live set celebrating Station to Station alongside other defining works from Bowie’s catalogue. These concerts offer a rare chance to hear the music shaped by the musicians who helped create it. Alongside the live programme, the festival expands into the visual world of Bowie through Bowie Unframed, a photographic exhibition by acclaimed French photographer Philippe Auliac. Hosted at Rathfarnham Castle, the exhibition features a collection of striking Bowie images, including photographs never previously shown to the public. Set within the historic surroundings of the castle, the exhibition adds a quieter, reflective dimension to the festival and is free to attend....
