Dublin International Film Festival
About Dublin International Film Festival
Dublin International Film Festival returns for 11 days this February, bringing Irish and international cinema to venues across the capital. The festival features world premieres, new Irish films, international features and special screenings, alongside Q&As with filmmakers, cast and industry guests.
While the programme includes major premieres and evening events, families can also find suitable options within the daytime schedule, including selected screenings and youth-focused films. It offers an opportunity for older children and teens to experience cinema beyond the mainstream, with post-screening discussions and events that encourage conversation around storytelling and film making. Set against the backdrop of a busy city centre programme, the festival provides a cultural option for families looking for something different during mid-term.
