The Oughterard Show returns on Sunday 30th August 2026, celebrating its 61st annual event with a packed programme of agricultural competitions, community activities and family entertainment. Held at the Corribdale Grounds and Community Centre, the show continues a long tradition that dates back more than a century in the Oughterard area.
A highlight of the local calendar, the show showcases the best of rural life with classes for horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, dogs and poultry. Visitors can also explore the popular domestic arts section, featuring a wide range of exhibits and competitions that celebrate local talent and craftsmanship.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the day, with children’s entertainment, demonstrations and activities taking place alongside the livestock competitions and displays. Competitors from across the region gather to compete for a wide range of prizes and awards, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Combining agricultural heritage, community spirit and family fun, the Oughterard Show remains one of Galway’s most popular traditional summer events and a great day out for visitors of all ages.
