Celebrating its 67th year, the Rose of Tralee International Festival returns to Tralee from 14th to 18th August 2026. One of Ireland’s most recognised and long-running festivals, it brings together young women of Irish heritage from around the world for a unique celebration of Irish culture, community and identity.
While the internationally televised Rose Selection nights on 17th and 18th August remain the centrepiece of the festival, there is far more to enjoy throughout the five-day programme. The streets of Tralee come alive with live music, parades, markets, street entertainment, theatre, circus performances and family-friendly attractions, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere across the town.
More than 100,000 visitors attend the festival each year, making it one of the largest events on Ireland’s summer calendar. Families can enjoy the funfair, outdoor entertainment and community events, while visitors of all ages can experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made the festival a cherished tradition for generations.
The Roses and Rose Escorts are selected through events held across Ireland and around the world before gathering in Tralee to represent their counties, cities and countries on the international stage. Combining culture, entertainment and community spirit, the Rose of Tralee International Festival continues to be one of the highlights of the Irish summer.
