Explore the rich variety of life in Ireland this May with a host of wonderful events and activities for the whole family.
The14th National Biodiversity Week take place this May with ten days of free events and activities celebrating wildlife, nature and biodiversity across Ireland. Running from May 15th to 24th, the nationwide programme includes guided walks, talks, workshops, family activities and outdoor experiences designed to help people explore the natural world around them.
Families can take part in scavenger hunts, wildlife discovery sessions and hands-on nature activities taking place in parks, museums, gardens and outdoor spaces throughout the country. Many events are designed specifically for children and families, encouraging people of all ages to learn more about Ireland’s habitats, species and environment in an engaging way.
The programme also includes the annual Biodiversity Photographer of the Year competition alongside virtual events and online activities, allowing people to take part from home as well as in person across the country
