Cahir Tradfest returns for a weekend of traditional Irish music, song and dance with concerts, workshops, sessions and community events taking place across the town.
The festival begins on Friday evening with the official launch and a traditional music session in the Shamrock Lounge. On Saturday, musicians of all ages can take part in workshops at Bunscoil na Cathrach before enjoying an evening concert at Cahir Castle featuring the Cahir Comhaltas Seisiún group, local musicians, singers and dancers. Traditional music sessions continue afterwards in the Shamrock Lounge and The Galtee Inn.
The weekend concludes on Sunday with Mass at St Mary's Church accompanied by local traditional musicians. Whether you're a musician, regular session player or simply enjoy traditional Irish music, Cahir Tradfest offers plenty of opportunities to listen, learn and join in.
