The Bealtaine Festival, coordinated by Calmast, is a partnership of groups in Ireland's Southeast who offer a wide range of outdoor events for all ages.

Rocky Shore Ecology Walk with Marie Power, The Sea Garden

Do you know what’s living out there on our shores? Join Marie Power, author of The Sea Garden, at Garrarus Strand, one of the Copper Coast most beautiful beaches. Enjoy a leisurely beach walk on a lovely Saturday afternoon and explore the diverse plant and animal life on the rocky shore of the Copper Coast - and learn about the health benefits of seaweed, seaweed foraging and seaweed cooking! Rockpool Exploration | Oceanics Surf School & Marine Education Centre

Wet your curiosity and feed your enquiring mind by exploring the rocky shoreline and experience the amazing habitats of our coast. The Rockpool Exploration celebrates biodiversity where all the family can enjoy hands on outdoors science in a fun and interactive way! Booking required.
Children’s Workshop: Plant Pot Painting and Planting at JFK Arboretum

Get out and get creative! Join the JFK Arboretum team for an afternoon of flower pot painting and planting. Suitable for Children 4 – 12 years, accompanied by an adult. Booking required.
Science on the Farm at Copper Coast Mini Farm
Sunday 27th May - 2:30 – 4:00 pm
Great way to explore science while getting up close to all the animals living on a farm. Start the afternoon with a treasure hunt at the Copper Coast Mini Farm while your parents enjoy the day in the tea rooms. You will then get the chance to present your treasures and to do some hands-on science experiments with materials you can find everywhere on a farm or in even at home in your garden. All participants get a free family pass for the whole day.
