Wexford has a rich maritime heritage and culture which will be celebrated this June Bank Holiday weekend at the Wexford Maritime Festival.
Wexford Maritime Festival returns this June bank holiday weekend with three days of maritime displays, family activities, live entertainment and events along Wexford Quay. The Maritime Village will run daily from 12pm to 6pm, bringing together rowing clubs, sailing groups, heritage displays and water-based activities celebrating Wexford’s strong connection to the sea.
Families can enjoy river cruises on the River Slaney, maritime walking tours, rowing demonstrations, sailing regattas and dragon boat activities across the weekend. Visitors can also meet the RNLI and Irish Coast Guard teams, learn about sea safety and explore maritime exhibitions and conservation displays.
There will also be opportunities to try paddleboarding, watch the Parade of Sail and enjoy entertainment and activities taking place throughout the quay area. With events for all ages and plenty happening on and around the water, the festival offers a busy bank holiday weekend in the heart of Wexford town.
