IMBOLC returns from 1st to 7th February with a week long programme celebrating both the traditional and contemporary sides of Irish culture.
Taking place across venues in the North West, the festival brings together music, dance and creative workshops in a setting shaped by participation and community.
The programme spans concerts, sessions and workshops, with daytime events running alongside evening performances and late night festival clubs. Highlights include The Tree by Gráinne Holland, Daughters of Keithleann and Music Together, a family focused daytime event introducing younger audiences to live music in an accessible way.
Participation plays a central role across the week. The Colmcille Camino combines music and storytelling in a guided cultural journey, while the Session Trail brings live performances into venues throughout the town. Workshops and instrument sessions support musicians of different ages and abilities, with events such as the Big IMBOLC Trad Brunch and Battle of the Bands adding a relaxed daytime focus.
Known for its inclusive approach, IMBOLC supports children, young people and families alongside emerging and established artists. By blending performance, learning and community led activity, the festival offers a varied cultural week rooted in tradition and creative exchange.
