Castlerea Rose Festival
Roscommon | 25th July - 3rd August, 2026

Castlerea Rose Festival gets underway this weekend with a packed programme of family entertainment, community events and live music. Saturday features a Family Fun Day, pop-up chess, the spectacular Grand Opening Parade, live music from Gorilla Radio and a fireworks display, while Sunday includes the Castlerea Food Fair, Run with the Roses, a historical photo exhibition, live music and a traditional Irish music session.

The celebrations continue throughout next week with children’s workshops, pool parties, family movie nights, creative activities, fitness sessions, live concerts, kids’ discos and headline performances, making it one of Roscommon’s biggest and best-loved summer festivals.

Mary From Dungloe

The Mary From Dungloe International Arts Festival gets underway this weekend with a packed programme of family entertainment across Dungloe. Families can enjoy teddy bear workshops, children’s baking classes, vintage cars and tractors, farmers’ markets, fun runs, sports activities, music, parades, live performances and plenty of community events throughout the town.

The celebrations continue throughout next week and into the Bank Holiday weekend with LEGO animation workshops, circus and parade workshops, children’s sports days, craft activities, live concerts, cultural events and the much-loved traditions that make the Mary From Dungloe Festival one of Donegal’s biggest summer events.

Galway International Arts Festival

This is the final weekend to experience the Galway International Arts Festival, with the city coming alive through world-class theatre, live music, circus, dance, visual art and spectacular outdoor performances. Families can enjoy free street entertainment, interactive installations, storytelling, family-friendly theatre and the lively Festival Garden in Eyre Square, with food, music and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Boyle Arts Festival

This is the final weekend of Boyle Arts Festival, with ten days of music, theatre, visual arts, literature and community celebrations coming to a close on Saturday. Visitors can enjoy live concerts, literary events, art exhibitions, theatre productions and the popular Art Trail, alongside performances and workshops taking place across venues throughout the town.
