Pumpkins After Dark

Pumpkins After Dark returns to Newbridge House & Farm for Halloween, with thousands of illuminated hand-carved pumpkins transforming a 1km outdoor trail through the grounds.

Opening weekend visitors can expect brand-new displays for 2026, live pumpkin carving, entertainment, interactive photo opportunities and seasonal food and treats. The experience is suitable for all ages, with plenty of Halloween atmosphere but no jump scares.

Dingle Food Festival

Dingle Food Festival returns with its popular Taste Trail, more than 50 market stalls, workshops, live music and street entertainment taking place around the town.

Families can also enjoy Lá na Leanaí at Dingle Town Park, with face painting, arts and crafts, dancing, inflatable activities, a sensory space and an animal roadshow, alongside children’s cooking classes and storytelling.

Cork Comic Con
Cork | 3rd - 4th October, 2026

Cork Comic Con returns to Marina Market for a family-friendly weekend of gaming, cosplay, interactive sets, Dungeons & Dragons, Artist Alley, traders and special guests.

Three event halls will feature panels, talks, workshops, demonstrations, gaming and fan groups, with autograph and selfie opportunities available with participating guests and a Cosplay Contest taking place on Sunday.

Family Colour Dash
Galway | 4th October, 2026

Corribdale Park in Oughterard hosts a colourful afternoon for all ages and abilities, with families invited to run, jog, walk or dance around the course while getting covered in vibrant coloured powder. Registration begins at 2pm before the Colour Dash starts at 3pm, with participants encouraged to arrive dressed in inexpensive white clothing.

Circus Extreme

Circus Extreme returns with ROCK IT OUT!, a two-hour family show combining a live rock band with extreme circus performances, comedy and special effects. The show features the Globe of Death, Double Wheel of Death, freestyle motocross backflips, aerial trapeze, street bike stunts, fire performances and the Double Ukrainian Swing.
