Mario & Luigi Tag & Run

Mario and Luigi are heading to Kidspace Rathcoole for a special Tag & Run Challenge, where children join Team Mario or Team Luigi and race around the playcentre collecting points using interactive TAG wristbands.

The morning also includes a sweet pancake brunch, Mario and Luigi themed face painting, a meet and greet with both characters and full access to the indoor playcentre.

Clifden Arts Festival

Clifden Arts Festival heads into its final weekend with music, street entertainment, exhibitions and family activities taking place around the town. On Saturday, families can follow the Clifden Elf and Fairy Trail, with fancy dress encouraged, while street performers Babcock and Bobbins bring fire juggling, stilt walking and unicycling to The Square.

There is also a free Saturday afternoon performance from juggler and street entertainer Mr G Sharp, alongside exhibitions, concerts and live music throughout Clifden as the festival draws to a close.

Airfield Time Travellers

Each monthly session explores a different period in history through storytelling, games, crafts and food, encouraging children to learn by taking part in fun, interactive activities. Stories From The Sea

Award-winning filmmaker Ken O’Sullivan brings Stories from the Sea to Cork, sharing stories, films and personal insights from 25 years exploring the North Atlantic and the seas around Ireland.

The live show features encounters with killer whales, dolphins, fin whales and blue whales, alongside stories of Ireland’s maritime culture and the challenges facing marine animals and habitats.

Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival

The Galway International Oyster & Seafood Festival returns for its 72nd year with oyster trails, seafood, live entertainment and the Irish and World Oyster Opening Championships taking place across the city.

Saturday’s programme includes the Parade of Flags and World Oyster Opening Championship, while Sunday brings a free family-friendly programme with a guided shore walk, immersive VR ocean tours, marine science, drumming workshops and food stalls.
