Lunar New Year Street Celebration | A One-Day Lunar Spectacle

One of the highlights of the Lunar New Year festival is a one-day extravaganza this Sunday, organised by DublinTown and Dublin City Council. The city will come alive with music, colour and flavours straight from the heart of Asia.
Live performances, dazzling street parades and a spectacular 10-metre-long dragon weaving through the crowds will keep you entertained. There’ll be mouth-watering Asian street food, hands-on cultural activities and plenty for families to enjoy. Whether you’re in it for the food, the performances or just the buzz, the celebrations this weekend are not to be missed.
Teddy Play | Hawk's Well

A new piece of theatre, developed in collaboration with Ben Lucent and Hawk’s Well Theatre, is designed for children with autism aged 7-10 and their grown-ups.
This relaxed, interactive, multi-sensory experience invites young audiences to join Benji, who has lost the key to his imagination. Where could it be? Children and their grown-ups will journey through a sensory world filled with teddies, marbles and marshmallows, offering an immersive and special adventure.
The performance will also be presented for special classes in several Sligo schools, with a limited capacity of up to six children per performance, making it an intimate and unique experience. A chill-out room will be available for those who need a quiet space during the performance.

This weekend the host The Swift Show in the Bernard Shaw; Ireland’s ultimate Taylor Swift tribute band brings the magic of Taylor’s iconic music to life on stage, with a professional live band and incredible vocalists taking audiences on a journey through her entire catalogue of hits from the country sounds of her early days to the chart-topping pop anthem - an unmissable experience for Taylor Swift fans!
Babies under one year are free of charge, while all other children require a child ticket. No adults will be admitted without a child. Parents remain responsible for children at all times, and children must remain under supervision.
Discover Nature Biodiversity Workshop

The Rediscovery Centre is hosting an exciting Biodiversity Workshop for children on Saturday, packed with fun and hands-on nature activities.
Young explorers can dive into the world of fascinating creatures in the pond and garden, with interactive experiences like pond-dipping and bug hunting. Through engaging activities, children will uncover the secrets of food chains and food webs while learning about Ireland’s incredible ecosystems. They’ll also discover simple ways to help protect the environment in their daily lives through a fun day of exploration, learning and adventure—perfect for curious minds.

Imagination Playground

The Imagination Playground offers the perfect space for your child’s creativity to flourish! This innovative play area is designed to encourage child-directed, free play. Premium quality big blue foam blocks in various shapes—squares, channels, chutes, balls, connectors and more—provide hours of fun. The playground is suitable for children aged 0 to 12 years, and for any teenagers who enjoy building and being creative. Families play in their own pods and a dedicated area will be available for toddlers and their grown-ups.
Three time slots are available this Sunday: 10:00 to 11:00, 11:15 to 12:15 or 12:30 to 13:30.
Children under 12 months can join for free. The St Joseph Community Center' on Ashe Road offers tea, coffee and snacks (on a donation basis) from 9:45am to 1:45pm and there is also free parking available.
