Horned melons, electric daisy and exploding cucumbers are not the first crops that spring to mind when you think of Airfield's garden produce.
However these are just some of the more unusual crops that we're currently harvesting from our polytunnels.
The added warmth provided by these protected structures enable us to grow tropical crops that otherwise would not flourish in our less than tropical climate!
Sweet potatoes, giant chilies and strawberry popcorn are the next unusual crops ready for harvest, so keep an eye out in Overends Restaurant for a chance to taste some of these tropical treats. #airfieldestate
