Celtic Crystal is located in the village of Moycullen, only 12 km from Galway city and situated in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht.
Built on the site of the ‘old Moycullen railway station’ which once formed part of the famous Clifden line, this family-run business has been pioneering the incorporation of Celtic Designs and Gaelic Motifs on our unique range of ornate, exquisitely-crafted Irish Crystal for over 39 years.
Factory tour visitors will first be given an informative talk, on the creation and design of our crystal. This includes a history of our designs most of which are based on Irish history and the national treasures of Ireland.
This will be followed by a live glass cutting demonstration.
A master cutter will create a unique piece of crystal for the group and will explain each procedure and pattern as the demonstration continues.
Photography is permitted and questions are encouraged. This is a rare opportunity to tour in one of the few remaining crystal factories in Ireland today and the only opportunity to view the production traditional Irish design on crystal.
Our modern and spacious premises allow visitors a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
The tour lasts 25 -30 minutes though extra time may be needed to allow for shopping, beverages and restrooms. Tour duration can be adjusted if necessary to suit your specific schedule.
