Description

Tayto Park is a theme park, located in Kilbrew, near Ashbourne in County Meath. The park is owned and operated by Tayto Crisps, in which the theme of the park is based on Tayto Crisps. The park was opened in November 2010, and is one of the most visited attractions in Ireland.

It has a fantastic outdoor playgrounds and is a great place for a picnic althought they have really good food in the restaurant.

The kids love the animals but the adventure area is the highlight. You must pay extra for each attraction so it does add to the cost. You can also purchase unlimited wrist bands which may be a better option if your kids want to try lots of different attractions.

They are zip wires, a climbing wall, bouncers and the recently launched Cu Chullainn, the largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe.

All Day wristband is €15 on top of entrance fee or you can buy tokens for €1 (the Rollercoaster requires 5 tokens).

Went over the summer with two kids 9&8 - the wristbands for €15 were good value for the kids (and saved the parents rows as they allow for unlimited on the rides). Rollercoaster is brilliant - one of the best ever. Parents may be better off buying tokens unless you plan on going on rollercoaster more than twice (queue was about 45 mins when we were there but off season would be less). We changed our tickets €60 to family pass for another €95 - Total €155 for 4. Great value if you plan on going a few more times. We told kids we are going to go some times for a picnic and to enjoy the free activities (animals, playground, train, factory). It would still be a day they would enjoy - but only after they have had a go on rollercoaster ;-)

Went here last year with my three children no family discout available and entry price does not include the price of wrist band which is needed for the rides this was another 15 euro each this leaves tayto park an expensive day out.
