We are honoured to have our friends the Woodpeckers in the woods of Wells House again this Autumn - there is no mistaking that sound and just look at how beautiful they are!

Our resident falconer Robin created a great and educational installation on Mogue's walk earlier this year which shows you how they make their nests and what they like to eat. Pop down and have a look and even spot the real ones on your next visit to Wells!

We do wonder how they're all keeping warm this Autumn.... do you know? ??

Went to Classic Car Show here and have never seen such a disorganised event. There were rowing adults and people cutting in and out and it took us an hour to get out of the carpark in stifling heat. There was no one to direct traffic and in the end they had to call the Gardai, wasting valuable resources as they should have been employed at more deserving work. We enjoyed the walks and the cars but it ruined the whole day as the small ones were so hot and cranky by the time we got out. the man's attitude on the gate was not good either

Fantastic on a good day weather wise but avoid if bad weather as not much to do. The walks are really lovely and keep the kids entertained with different themes along the way. The Animal Sanctuary is good and the playgrounds are great fun. I love the little craft shops along the way. We only had tea and buns in the cafe so can't report much on the food but was pleasant.
