The American Natural History Museum was featured in the movie "Night at the Museum" but when you are in New York you have to bring the family to a day at the Museum.
It is massive, a total of 25 connected buildings with nearly 50 exhibitions and millions of specimens including a full size T-Rex!
Sometimes these places can be a bit stuffy for kids but there are plenty of interactive things that the kids will love to do. And if they watched the movie they will recognise the collection of taxodermy mammals, an Easter Island head, and the Hall of North American forests.
Everyone leaves a little bit smarter than when they arrived.
